Whether it's just for the weekend or something a little longer, the caring team at A1 Pet Motel can offer your furry loved one a warm and comfortable place to stay.

Our Dog Runs

Our dog runs are eight metres in length and comprise of an internal part of the shed and an external run. All runs include a stretcher bed. The internal run is in a fully insulated building which has fans and evaporative air conditioning for the summer months.

In the winter months we have a limited number of runs with underfloor heating. We are more than happy to rug your dogs. If you do not have a coat, we can supply one (which will incur a cleaning fee).

Each night all dogs are secured in the internal section of their runs in the insulated part of the shed. We clean the runs twice a day, three times in the summer months, to ensure they are tidy and comfortable for your beloved pet. Outside we have several grass play areas that allow the dogs to have some fun playtime in the sun. We never leave your dog/s out in inclement weather.

All runs are secure. The kennel has smoke alarms. We have music playing to ensure a calm and relaxed environment. Unfortunately, we are unable to cater for female dogs that are not de-sexed.

Our Cattery

Our cattery is fully enclosed, insulated and temperature controlled. We clean each run daily and the kitty litter is changed daily. Each run has bedding and climbing/scratching devices.

The cat haven is fully secure and has fire alarms as well as music playing. Unfortunately, we do not cater for cats that are not de-sexed.

Health Requirements

We require a minimum vaccination of C5 for dogs and an F3 for cats. We will need to see all 3 puppy vaccinations for young dogs. Please ensure your dog is covered for Kennel Cough as this is a requirement for boarding. Female dogs must be spayed and if males are entire they will be a higher rate per day.

We need to sight vaccination certificates prior to entry onto the property. This allows us to provide an environment that is as healthy, and sterile as possible for your pets safety. Vaccination certificates can be sent via e mail.

If your pet requires medication, we must be advised prior to arrival and depending on difficulty of administration will determine if there will be a charge. All medication must come in a compartmental container clearly labelled for daily and am/pm use as well as all personal details.

Both dogs and cats need to be up to date with their flea and worming treatment on admission.

Food

We supply food if you are happy with the brands we use.

DOGS

Kibble – Supercoat Adult, Small Breed, Ultimates Indulge.

Baxter roll and various tinned foods.

CATS

Biscuits – Friskies and many varieties and flavours of tinned food.

Bedding

We supply bedding for both dogs and cats, however, you are welcome to bring our own and this may help your pet to settle with something from home and familiar in with them in their run.
